So it seemed we were spidermite free until the last few days got a little hotter than they had been, and now the spidermites are fucking BLOWING UP all over my room. Problem is .. it's my flowering room .. and I have four plants that are too big and awesome to just trash, two of them are scheduled for harvest tonight and two more in a week or two .. so my choices for what to do to treat the new infestation seem pretty limited. Help?

We've been using Azamax and it works if I see like one mite, but it doesn't work well on worse problems or bigger plants. We just got Neem oil spray and used it yesterday and things were fine this morning but got worse later on in the day so we just sprayed them again with Neem and then hit the two we're harvesting tonight with cold water about 15 minutes after the Neem.

I've been reading about a bunch of different products right now via a mad Google search but I'm not finding any help about plants that are so far into flower they're ready to get cut down.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips on preventing this from happening in the future (but with regard to prevention advice, we already filter all intakes, doors are sealed and nobody goes in the room but me and my boyfriend)

I used a dish soap, olive oil and water mix
Sprayed Rinse Sprayed Rinsed
but that was during the veg stage

A friend of mine used a sponge and wiped the leafs off. Time consuming but i wouldnt want to risk ruining the taste of the bud so close to harvest . Good Luck ! : )

hey im having hugeeee spidermite problems myself and we been usin azamac but those fuckersss are so hard to call weve also tried neem oil idk if you have tried it but it was working pretty good and another friend of mine uses it faithfully .. thinkin bout jsut letting this harvest come and bombing the whole area clean it out from top to bottom

u said youre real close to harvest yeah i wouldnt really risk putting too much chemicals you dont want the weed to taste like it but u can try to keep spraying them for a bit longer but i wouldnt be putting to much its not worth the riskkk .. theres nothing wrong with a bit of mites in the weed they leave as soon as the plants come down they have nothing left to feed on happens its such a battle with those little insects.

good luck if i find another remedy for mites ill let you know cuz im going through the same shit right now but im not that close to harvest so its gonna be a continuing battle ughh good luck with your lovely ladiess

What ended up working best for us was spraying ultra concentrated Dawn dish soap mixed with water on them, and then a few minutes later spraying them with ice water, and then soap water again, and then ice water again and then we harvested the plants after they dried a little bit. Then the plants that were more than two weeks from harvest ended up getting sprayed with a combo of Azamax and Neem Oil every three days and then we got a bug bomb for the whole room - and we've been spider mite free in our flowering room for a few weeks now. Spider mites are such a pain in the ass, but I think if we just spray every week or so it'll keep them under control.

did you know that there are only two words in the english language that have two "u"s next to one another. one is conitnuum and the other is vacuum.

the best defense against the mighties is the vacuum. worse case, the mites (depending on) might lay eggs three times a day, so you'd need to vac three times a day, if you're serious. but even once is good. they gotta be big enough for the root system to withstand the suck though. use the attachment.

take pics of the wounded leaves and email them to me.

if you have the mighties, your problem is either cleanliness, contamination, or humidity.
